Don’t get get wrong. I love pumpkins! I love looking at them, carving them, eating them and most of all I love how they help my dog Lili’s digestion!

As we head into the fall and beyond, the weather does get colder and certainly the days and evenings are darker sooner. Are you someone who deals with Seasonal Affective Disorder? Or, do you just feel a bit low at this time of year? If you notice that you feel a bit low, take some time for self care. What is it that you love to do? Do more of it. Do you love to spend time with friends? See them more often. Are you thinking of volunteering? There are plenty of volunteer opportunities out there at organizations who would love to have you.

If you find yourself feeling very low, speak with your doctor, or contact your local Canadian Mental Health Association. If you live in Eastern Ontario, (from Durham Region to Ottawa and north), call or click to ACCESSMHA. accessmha.ca You will be able to speak to a friendly and skilled person who will set you up with the most appropriate service. If you live in the rest of the province, CONNEX Ontario will be able to assist you (connexontario.ca).

You are also very welcome to contact one of us. Remember that Jai is available both in person, by phone and virtually, (Clinical Consultation and Counselling www.clinicalconsultationandcounselling.com). John is also available in-person, by phone and virtually.
