Jai Mills and John Lunman Counselling

  • What we do.

    As Registered Social Workers and Psychotherapists, our services are covered under Employee Assistance Plans, and employer and private benefit plans such as Canada Life, Green Shield and Manulife. Our basic fee is $120.00 per session. We offer a sliding scale for those who require it. We do not charge for an initial consultation of 15-20 minutes by phone. We offer both virtual and in-person services.

    I have worked in the social service/mental health field for over 40 years. I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Manitoba and a Masters of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

    I have completed extensive training in Brief and Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I always work from a trauma informed perspective. I approach clients from a holistic perspective that empower my clients to realize their own skills and potential. I work primary with adults and individuals. I am available evening and weekend sessions.

    I have recently joined a Private Practice in Oshawa where I see individuals and couples in person. My fee at Clinical Consultation and Counselling is $170.00 per session.     I have provided clinical social work services to individual clients, couples and families for over 20 years. I am a graduate of the University of Toronto with extensive post graduate training in Trauma, Cognotive Behavioural Therapy and a variety of other modalities. I believe in the inherent strengths of my clients, and that clients know what is best for them; they just need support and skills to get there. I am a former actor, and enjoy theatre, reading and role playing games in my spare time. I work with adolescents, adults and couples. I’m available weekdays and some evenings. I offer both virtual and in-person sessons.
